Are you a Riding Instructor or Horse Trainer who works at various locations you do not own, and would like to insure your tack and horse equipment along with your commercial liability insurance policy?

Or perhaps you operate a Horse Drawn Vehicle Ride Service and need to insure your carriages, trolley, or wagon, and harnesses when away from home along with your important commercial liability insurance.

Maybe you run a Pony Ride service for events and festivals, and need insurance for liability and your carrousel or sweep equipment in addition to saddles, bridles, helmets, ticket booth and ring fencing.

If you are a Farrier / Blacksmith who travels to various locations, you need a commercial policy that could include liability and property insurance for your equipment.

Perhaps you provide Equine Assisted Services, Disabled Riding and Therapeutic Riding Services, or Therapeutic Services to Horses, and you keep specialized equipment at a specialized location or carry it with you in your vehicle or trailer.  You want to be sure your equipment is insured along with your important liability insurance policy.

It is a fact that you may not be able to insure your commercially used tack and horse equipment under your homeowners, renter’s, or farm owner’s policy because it has business use.   Or perhaps you do not own a home, stable or farm, and cannot buy insurance to cover the loss or damage to this equipment.  Perhaps your equipment is insured, but not while in transit or when it stays at the premises of the stables or farms where you work.  Perhaps your business personal property is not insured while away from home.

With these problems of coverage to consider, keep in mind that Partial Package Insurance may be just right for you, and Ark Agency is able to help you with this.

DESCRIPTION OF INILAND MARINE COVERAGE:

Despite the word “marine”, most inland marine insurance coverages are for property on land.  The property that is insured is typically that which is actually in transit, temporally located at a place in preparation for transport, or a movable type of goods that is often at different locations.  The policy insures the movable property against risks of direct physical loss or damage from any external cause but with specific exclusions.  Common causes of loss can be fire, lightning, windstorm, cyclone, tornado, collision, upset or overturn of the transporting conveyance, theft from an attended or secured compartment or area.

Some Common Exclusions: Loss or damage caused by wear and tear, gradual deterioration, insect, vermin, inherent vice, extremes of temperature, atmospheric or climatic conditions; Loss or damage caused by leakage, denting, marring or scratching; Loss or damage by earthquake or flood; war risks and nuclear risks.

Legal Defense Costs: Today court costs and hiring of a lawyer can quickly mount to $50,000 or more, an expense you do not want to come out of your pocket if you are sued and have to hire a lawyer.  If sued in relation to the insured activity, the policy provides legal defense whether the case has merit or not.
